Dr. Yeh obtained his PhD from the department of Materials Science and Engineering at National Tsing Hua University in 1986. He holds the esteemed positions of NTHU Chair Professor and Director of High Entropy Materials Center in the department of Materials Science and Engineering, National Tsing Hua University. His groundbreaking work in the field of high-entropy alloys has garnered global recognition, propelling high-entropy alloys to the forefront of advanced material research. He is widely regarded as the pioneer and influential figure in this area, earning him the title of “father of high-entropy alloys.” Moreover, Dr. Yeh’s successful efforts in industrializing high-entropy materials have significantly bolstered the competitiveness and influence of domestic industries. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he received the Outstanding Research Award of Ministry of Science and Technology in 2016, followed by the prestigious Award for Outstanding Science and Technology Contribution by the Executive Yuan, Taiwan in 2021.
